Chains

Chains are used for both power transmission and transportation. Their composition of many individual links that move in relation to each other recommends the use of lubricants to reduce friction and wear.

• it must penetrate well into the chain
• the areas to be lubricated must be well wetted
• the lubricant must provide good wear protection
• it must protect against corrosion
